- Criminal law is the body of law that relates to crime. One of such heinous crimes include crimes against women. They have become ubiquitous in India. Every now and then we hear or perhaps witness one or the other case of a crime committed against a girl. Statistics report that India has witnessed a rise of about 280 percent in the number of reported crimes between 1990 and 2016.
