PLEA invites you to a PLEA Bridge session on Criminal Investigation: Leaps and Bounds. The webinar will focus on provisions relating to criminal investigation and the writ jurisdiction of the High Court, interim relief & anticipatory protection. The High Courts, under article 226 have the power to pass a stay in extra ordinary criminal proceedings so as to prevent the misuse of the criminal justice system. However Supreme Court has raised concern over it. The speaker will examine the extent to which the High Courts can exercise its power to stay the criminal proceedings.
